Five Stanstead College varsity girl hockey players have been selected to represent their provinces in the Women’s U18 National Championship in Dawson Creek, BC. The tournament runs from November 5 to the 11.
Representing Team Quebec are:
Forward Rosalie Tremblay from Sherbrooke, Qc, who is in her third year as a Spartan. She wore the “C” for the prep girls last year and now in 10th grade is a top contributor for the varsity girls hockey team.
Forward Charlotte Labrèche, from Varennes, Qc. This second-year Spartan was a key player on the prep girls team last year. Only in 10th grade, Charlotte is now making an impact on the varsity team.
Maxim Tremblay is a Grade 12 forward from Sherbrooke, Qc. She was named assistant captain this year and is committed to Colgate University.
Maelie Pion, another Sherbrooke native, is in her Grade 12 year. This third-year Spartan has demonstrated her strength at the blue line for the varsity girls and is an assistant captain this year.
Representing Team Atlantic is:
Jamie Arsenault, from Sackville, NB. Jamie was the first-ever captain for the prep girls team back in 2021. Now in 12th grade, this forward has been on the varsity girls team for the past two years.
